The preschool program is for children already enrolled for childcare services preschool is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. My curriculum fosters creativity, independence, and a love for learning through hands-on activities and guided discovery.
I focus on language and literature, art, science, math, and social skills. Unlike a curriculum full of worksheets and cookie cutter projects, our early learning program is literacy and play-based with themes related to our world around us. We offer age-appropriate activities and children have opportunities for creative expression as they explore a variety of materials to expand their knowledge and skills. So, what does that look like?
Here's a great example from a September lesson:
Theme: Apples
Reading Scholastics "The Biggest Apple Ever" by Steven Kroll, we will focus on apples for the week. We will talk about what happens during the fall season, apples, how they grow, and build on that theme. By the end of the week, we have:
*Tasted red, green, and yellow apple slices
*Made our own apple sauce and had it for a snack
*Cut apples in half to reveal the seeds and created apple prints with red, green, and yellow paint on paper
*Counted apple seeds
*Learned about how apples and other trees grow
*Made apple crafts to take home
*Played with miniature apple toys and baskets in our sensory table for hours on end

Indoor Play
I have a bright and clean play space to keep children engaged. I provide different play areas such as dramatic play, blocks, sensory, manipulative s, reading area, and art exploration. At free choice time children have opportunities to move freely throughout the play space and engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities. During this time children may choose to do puzzles, play games, create art, use play dough, dress up, and so much more! Children are able to work individually or play in groups and choose which areas interest them most. I will assist with child-to-child interactions to help develop social, language, and problem-solving skills.

Circle Time
I have circle time each day where children gather together to participate in a variety of language-based activities. These include songs, finger plays, stories, and games. This time provides children opportunities to practice listening skills, thinking and sharing, and being part of a group experience.

Meals
Children are provided breakfast, Lunch and two snacks throughout the day. Each meal we have together is an opportunity to foster awareness of healthy nutrition choices and encourage self-help skills, social skills, and manners.
I will provide all healthy meals. I cook Organic healthy food, mostly warm meals, I make sandwiches very minimal. I can provide gluten free and non dairy to children who have allergies.

I will have fresh water at all times accessible for the children in their sippie cups

I limit sugar intake when I provide meals, snacks, and treats.
I do not provide juice or give children Juice.
Infants: will be fed on demand,
If a child is on a special health diet, I may not be able to provide for them,
if that is the case please bring their food
If your child is breast fed I can prepare your breast milk and keep a large supply in my freezer.

Quiet time
After lunch is our rest time. We always tell the children that they don't have to sleep, but they do need to let their bodies rest. I help children settle in by playing soothing background music. During this time, some children rest quietly while others fall asleep. I have nap mats and playpens for rest time.
